|Why Research

Research plays an integral role in SSE's social investment strategy because it directs the allocation of soft and hard resources to maximize the benefits of all the stakeholders. Once a better understanding of the landscape has been achieved, SSE can then effectively disburse technology and knowledge transfer where deemed necessary. In addition to helping SSE and its local partners best identify the needs of their communities to contribute to positive social change, universities are given the opportunity to take part in ground breaking research, research funding centres gain access to thought provoking studies that can help guide public policy, and the SeedRock Group can better understand and strengthen business opportunities.

|What We Do

Exceptional qualitative and quantitative research will produce innovative reports that will enable SSE to design effective and sustainable social betterment programs and guide investment decisions for SeedRock Corporate. These findings will be available to all of the stakeholders to best serve each of their mandates. The information will be obtained through a collaborative effort with the partner universities via research studies, internships and training programs.
